Professional Interests

I have served on the Community Service Committee of Hunterdon/Somerset Association of Realtors for 10 years, enjoying many rewarding experiences while raising funds for various charities and lending a helping hand to local individuals and organizations' needs.

Personal Background

As a resident of Central Jersey for 30 years, I have appreciated living in what is, in my opinion, one of the most convenient and diversified areas in the country.  Central Jersey is truly a multicultural area, offering exposure to people of different interests and customs.  I love NYC for its theaters, museums and restaurants but I also love the Jersey Shore!

Homes located near I-78 exits 33 - 40 affords the opportunity to commute to the City within 45 - 55 minutes and you can be "Down the Shore" within one hour.  Some of our homes are situated in rural farmland and mountainous regions so there is something for everyone.  Life is good!

Since history has always been of interest to me and I have lived in this area my entire life it enables me to share our rich local history along with pertinent data to relocating families.  Central Jersey is not just the Newark Airport and Jersey Turnpike but an area offering picturesque surroundings and culture as well as commuting convenience, which will add to your quality of life as it does mine!

Personal Interests

Mercy Associate

Roman Catholic Diocese of Metuchen, Youth Leader - 15 years

Since I have been a long time resident of my community, one of my most rewarding experiences has been leading our Parish's Jr High Youth group for 15 years.  This involvement has not only afforded me the opportunity to offer guidance and to share my faith with our youth but has also enabled to observe these fine young people evolve into future leaders of high moral fiber and integrity, who are very much aware and sensitive to the needs of others.

Spirital Life -Photography Committee

The Gospel Players/Gospel Dramatization

Past President, Episcopal Church Women, Local Parish

Past Vice President, Episcopal Church Women, Plainfield District

Community Involvement

Tutoring reading in Piscataway Township for children in 1st - 3rd grades is one of my most memorable experiences.  The shared excitement and satisfaction received when a child begins to excell and realizes that reading is not only enjoyable but it brings the world and everything it has to offer to him or her, one book at a time, is an adrenalin rush of its own!

A community project that I had the most fun being involved in was building a tire playground for school aged children.  I am not certain who enjoyed the experience and equipment more, the children or the adults!

Over the years I have enjoyed interacting with and getting to know individuals who have Special needs, through organizations such as Hand and Hand and the ARC.  They have taught me much!

Participating in Women's American ORT was one of my most unexpected involvements!  Raising funds to implement programs in support of ORT rewarded me with lifetime skills I would not have realized otherwise and I am grateful.

Since I attended Plainfield schools and I am a graduate of Plainfield High, I consider myself fortunate to have friends dating back to elementary school who have chosen to remain in Central Jersey and raise their families here.

Upon graduating from Plainfield High I did not venture far from home but only moved on to Douglas College, in neighboring New Brunswick, where I majored in psychology.  Not too many years later, I married a wonderful man from my home town, who is my best friend.  When we decided it was time to add to our family tree we also decided to remain in Central Jersey and we have enjoyed raising our two children here, where excellence in education is our foremost concern.

Coming from a real estate family background, I soon decided to qualify to become a Realtor.  The Central Jersey School of Real Estate proved to be a valuable resource in obtaining a Real Estate Sales License so naturally I utilized their services again when I later decided to obtain a Real Estate Broker's License.   Happily, I have found real estate to be a very satisfiying and challenging career, especially in our current market conditions!

Environmental Concerns

During this time of world crisis' involving political unrest as well as natural disasters, i.e., Japan's quake & tsunami resulting in the mounting loss of life and threat of nuclear reactor meltdown, Mideast & N. Africa's issues as well as the ever present issue of global warming, perhaps we can take a moment to breathe in and reflect on the issues and what we can do to personally help to alieviate just one worldwide issue we are presently facing..

Perhaps during the moment we are taking a breath we consider the air that we breathe is a necessary element in our lives and focus on one small act we can participate in to replenish the earth's trees that have been depleted in developed areas.  By contacting a non-profit organization, such as TreesGreenville, to volunteer to help at tree planting events or by donating a "Legacy Tree" in some one's name, as a memorial to a loved on or to honor someone or just as a very special gift, that one small jester can add up to a lifetime of clean air for generations to come.

Plant - Promote - Protect

Shall we?  Please contact to plant a tree and make your contribution to the world we ive in today!  Your children and your children's children will thank you!

Energy & Natural Resource Conservation

I am quite happy to share that one of the most frequently asked questions when showing properties today is, "How energy efficient is this home?"  It is music to my ears!

Also, when replacing kitchen appliances or furnaces & hot water heaters, today's homeowners are energy wise and proud to point out how cost efficient their home is.  This is based upon low electric and gas usage directly related to the energy efficient products they are investing in for their homes..

Consumption of our natural resources is on every one's mind and even elementary aged school children are very aware that we, as a gobal community, must focus on conserving.  There is a new game available that 6 year old children are playing that centers on conservation and it is great fun to earn your way to the winner's circle by remembering to recycle your trash, turn off lights and not to let water run while brushing your teeth.

It is our children of today that will inherit the earth and it warms my heart to know they are already focusing on protecting it!
