The charm and tranquility of Basking Ridge is complemented by its convenient proximity to State Routes 78 and 287 and a less than half hour drive to Newark Airport. Easy access to and from Manhattan and destinations throughout the metropolitan area is available via New Jersey Transit, on which Basking Ridge is a stop on the Gladstone train line.
Basking Ridge Parks and Recreation
This wonderfully pastoral region is distinguished by two national parks, 60,000 acres of state parkland, and a landscape dotted by lakes, rivers, hills and farms. Somerset County is part of New Jersey’s picturesque Skylands Region, an area of Northwest New Jersey that includes Hunterdon, Morris, Sussex and Warren Counties.
